Does Louisville Acupuncture Clinic accept insurance?

At Common Ground Wellness / Louisville Acupuncture Clinic, we are happy to provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement of your acupuncture treatment.  Unfortunately, we’ve found that most insurance does not cover acupuncture treatment in Kentucky.

Does insurance cover acupuncture treatment?

In our experience at Louisville Acupuncture Clinic, most insurance does not cover acupuncture treatments.  However, more and more insurance companies are adopting coverage for alternative therapies such as acupuncture than ever before.  Please be sure to check with your current insurance provider before your first acupuncture appointment to confirm if your insurance covers acupuncture.

Does insurance cover acupuncture treatment for accident claims?

While most insurance does not cover non-drug therapies such as acupuncture treatments, massage therapy, etc. if you are seeking treatment for something like an auto accident your treatment may be covered.  If you have filed an insurance claim for the accident, Louisville Acupuncture Clinic can easily bill the insurance carrier for your acupuncture treatment.  However, we do not bill any personal health insurance plans in our office currently.  When in doubt, before your first appointment, contact your insurance provider and ask, “does insurance cover acupuncture treatment” under your current plan.
